The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, has developed


the MAUSAM Mobile App to facilitate easy and convenient access to weather products that can be found at💦💧

Users are alerted to approaching weather events in advance and have access to radar images, forecasts, and observed weather data.

Under the Monsoon Mission program of MoES, the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) and ICRISAT’s Digital Agriculture & Youth (DAY) team are working together to develop and implement the app.💙💙

The Ministry of Earth Sciences’ India Meteorological Department has launched a number of initiatives in recent years to improve the distribution of weather forecasts and warning services using the newest instruments and technology.

The Ministry of Earth Sciences is pleased to introduce the “Mausam” mobile app for the India Meteorological Department in an effort to further strengthen this project.


In honor of its Foundation Day celebrations, the Ministry of Earth Sciences releases the mobile app “Mausam” for the India Meteorological Department.

The fifth MAUSAM Mobile App service is CURRENT WEATHER, which provides eight daily updates on the temperature, humidity, wind direction, and speed for 200 cities.
There is also information on moonrise and moonset as well as sunrise and sunset.
About 800 stations received three hourly warnings about localized weather phenomena and their intensity.
Impacts from severe weather will also be displayed.

CITY FORECAST: The weather for 450 Indian cities over the previous 24 hours and the next seven days.WARNINGS: For the next five days, alerts will be sent out twice daily to all districts in the color codes of red, orange, and yellow to alert residents of impending danger.
