દેશના 508 રેલવે સ્ટેશનોની કાયાકલ્પ થશે, ગુજરાતના 21 રેલવે સ્ટેશનો બનશે વર્લ્ડ ક્લાસ
Railway Station Redevelopment Work: 508 railway stations of the country will be rejuvenated under Amrit Bharat Yojana. Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the redevelopment works to make these railway stations world class on August 6 at 11 pm. This railway station will cost 24 thousand crores.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a total of 1300 railway stations will be rejuvenated in the next one year. The government will spend Rs 24,470 crore on 508 railway stations in the initial phase of providing excellent facilities to rail passengers.

The government intends to make all these railway stations world class in the next two years. This will create a roof plaza at the railway stations i.e. there will be a roof on the tracks. Apart from this, a fully equipped running room will also be made at the new railway station.

A master plan is being prepared to develop these stations into a city center with proper integration of the two fringes of the city.

The design of station buildings is inspired by local culture, heritage and architecture. This railway station will showcase the beauty of that city or place.

Of the 508 railway stations in the country that will be rejuvenated, 18 railway stations are in Andhra Pradesh, 32 in Assam, 50 in Bihar, seven in Chhattisgarh, three in New Delhi and 21 in Gujarat.

Apart from this, 15 railway stations in Haryana, one in Himachal Pradesh, 20 in Jharkhand, 13 in Karnataka, five in Kerala, 34 in Madhya Pradesh will be equipped with world-class facilities. 44 stations in Maharashtra, Meghalaya in the North East and one each in Nagaland will be upgraded.
